Actually they are gaining popularity because of their best script.

Everyone wants a happy ending at last and in korean dramas they make sure that after having some breakups with same guy or a girl they will patch up and the story end with a good note or with happy ending.

I prefer these genera not only in Korean dramas but also in Chinese,thai dramas..
